The Ultra Performance Energy System from Cromax® aims to offer refinishers faster process times while reducing energy consumption. Using revolutionary Axalta technology, the system gives bodyshops the flexibility to match their workload to the right products by finding the balance between speed and energy use, while also ensuring outstanding results. The Ultra Performance Energy System comprises: PS1800 Metal Pretreatment Wipes; Ultra Performance Energy Surfacers PS1081, PS1084 and PS1087; the new Ultra Performance Non-Sanding Surfacers NS2081, NS2084 and NS2087; the choice of Cromax Basecoat or Cromax Pro Basecoat; and CC6700 Ultra Performance Energy Clear.

Thanks to patented Axalta technology, the new wet-on-wet Ultra Performance Non-Sanding Surfacers deliver the most productive preparation process available in the market for the overcoating of new parts. “When using the Ultra Performance Non-Sanding Surfacers in combination with Cromax Pro Basecoat and CC6700 Ultra Performance Energy Clear, a vehicle part can be refinished in just 36 minutes, greatly boosting productivity in the bodyshop,” says Torfs.
The Ultra Performance Non-Sanding Surfacers have a simple 1:1:0.2 mixing ratio with the AR7202 Non-Sanding Surfacer Activator and AZ9800 Energy Surfacer Accelerator. The surfacers are available in the three shades, white (VS1), grey (VS4) and black (VS7) and are part of the ValueShade® concept which delivers the optimal undercoat for every topcoat colour, for faster coverage and reduced basecoat consumption.
Excellent vertical stability and ultra-short flash-off times
The special formulation of the Ultra Performance Non-Sanding Surfacers means they offer high stability on vertical surfaces. They are easy to handle and fast to apply in just one or two coats. And with an impressive flash-off time of just five minutes before Cromax Basecoat or Cromax Pro Basecoat can be applied, parts can be denibbed to remove dust particles, or overcoated almost immediately with no need to force air dry or dry using IR technology. This helps refinishers to optimise their workflow, resulting in increased throughput.
Thanks to innovative technology, the Ultra Performance Energy System allows refinishers to achieve a high-quality appearance with outstanding gloss hold-out after top coating.
“Every product in the Ultra Performance Energy System has been designed to help bodyshops achieve a higher throughput while using less energy.
