TINTED CLEARCOAT REPAIR PROCESS
As shown on the Axalta Global Automotive Colour Popularity Report, highly chromatic reds and in particular blue colours are becoming more and more popular. These very intense and vivid effect shades are setting a new trend in European car parcs. Cromax developed a dedicated repair process to match the colour position and the strong deep effect of these highly brilliant colour shades using a tinted clear coat solution. HOW TO PREVENT PINHOLES
Applying the clearcoat you discover pinholes in the surface and you try to master this issue. How frustrating is that, what caused them to appear and how do I make sure it doesn’t happen to me again? Normally these occur in solid colour basecoats, predominantly reds/whites, and are the result of over application of basecoat. In this video we look at simple process changes you can make to prevent such defects and look at a new innovative product solution that will help you produce excellent defect free results.

HOW TO APPLY CROMAX CLEARS IN 1.5 COATS
Our productive Cromax clearcoats require a productive application process, such as application in 1.5 coats. This method is not difficult, but sometimes it takes a little reminder of the most important points to turn a good result into a great one.

HOW TO WORK SPECTROPHOTOMETER ONLY
There is an easier and more reliable way to find the correct colour formula than using fandeck colour chips. Our colour specialist Inne Goossens guides Tony through the simple and effective digital colour retrieval process using ChromaVision Pro Mini and ChromaWeb software. The big hurdle all painters have, is to give up their established traditional work methods. Putting trust in a digital colour solution is a big challenge, but if you give it a chance you’ll find there is more to gain than to fear by using these modern tools.
