New White and Grey Shades for Cromax NS260X Non-Sanding Primer-Surfacer

Cromax has expanded the NS260X Non-Sanding Primer-Surfacer line with two new ValueShade options – White VS1 (NS2601) and Grey VS4 (NS2604) – replacing the former Light Grey VS2 (NS2602). The existing Black VS7 (NS2607) remains part of the portfolio, completing the streamlined three-shade system: White, Grey and Black.

This update supports the ValueShade concept by giving refinishers clearer shade selection, improving colour accuracy and reducing the number of basecoat layers required. The result is faster application, improved coverage, and more efficiency in the spray booth.

Highly versatile, the NS260X range can be applied directly to metal and common plastics, eliminating the need for a two-stage build-up. It helps bodyshops boost productivity with fast recoat times, excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance, and full compatibility with all Cromax topcoats.

“In line with Axalta’s commitment to delivering harmonised and streamlined surfacer systems, the introduction of the new White and Grey, alongside the existing Black, ensures consistency across the Cromax surfacer portfolio,” says Jim Iliopoulos, Product and Technical Manager for Axalta ANZ. “This three-shade concept supports greater flexibility, improved efficiency, and reliable colour accuracy for our customers.”

As part of this update, the Light Grey (NS2602) has now been phased out and discontinued from the product range.
